A Walgreen’s Christmas

28 Dec

This was my first pure warm weather Christmas and it was one worth repeating.

The best gift was one found on the golf course.

We spotted a sign from afar and once we came nearer we could read what gifts it would bear.

Some kind soul had set out a full cooler of brewskis for the hot Christmas day

The night before, we partook in our annual family tradition of going to Walgreen’s (the only thing open late on Christmas Eve) and each pick out a random gift under 5 dollars.

I bought a car charger for my iPhone (practical) my Mom bought a “robot claw” (to reach things high on the shelf)

and my Dad and brother both bought an oversized calculator.

Usually back scratchers are the most popular item of choice.

We went to a restaurant called Sea Salt some night around then…they all begin to blur together once you’re in vacation mode.

Sea Salt is a restaurant in downtown Naples that really isn’t worth writing about, just not that special.

Flipping through photos, the only things worth recalling are my brother trying on my ring

Photo is worth a million dollars.

Dr. Evil anyone?

The other thing worth recalling?

They served a giant bowl of fluffy cotton candy at the end of the meal.

It looked like a giant cloud!

The last bits of vacation time will be filled with sun, getting lost in books, cycling, and a bit of golf peppered in.

Question: Any wacky family traditions?
